Do you have experience in the confectionary industry? Are you interested in getting your foot in the door of the Texas Hemp Industry? Our role of Gummy Production Technician might be the right fit for you! Bayou City Hemp Company is the first super critical fluid extraction processor in Texas.  As a Gummy Production Technician, you will work closely with the Gummy Production Lead to ensure gummy manufacturing is efficient, cost effective and product is within required spec. Responsibilities include operating various machines used to produce gummies, cleaning up of the lab facility before and after manufacturing, working in a team setting to accomplish a common goal. Please send all correspondence and resumes to: packaging@8thwonder.com

Reports to: Production Manager

Job Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Assist GPL in all aspects of manufacturing of gummies

• Perform duties necessary for continuous operations.

• Perform equipment maintenance and maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.

• Follow Company standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce high quality products.

• Understand and follow all safety protocols.

• Ability to work in a team setting to achieve daily goals, weekly forecasts and monthly KPI’s

• Strong communication skills

• Monitor system operations and perform tests as required.

• Record data for all procedures using computer systems and/or hard copy, whichever is appropriate.

• Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email.

• Ability to follow directions in utilization of automated equipment and systems.

• Familiarity with basic scientific principles, production terminology and basic math skills.

• Must be able to successfully pass a thorough internal and external background check.

• Forklift certification desired but not required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in hemp/cannabis processing or chemical industry desired.

• Moderate lifting and carrying (25-75 lbs); heavier weights with assistance.

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

• Has the ability to work in a hands-on environment, work independently in a fast-paced environment and the ability to be agile

• Punctual, reliable team player

• Willing to learn and adhere to all GMP standards

Our ideal candidate not only thrives behind the bar, but she or he also enjoys conversing with fellow beer enthusiasts. A strong understanding of beer and cannabis is preferred and a willingness to learn more about it is required. Previous hospitality/cannabis experience strongly preferred. This role will include bartending shifts at the taproom as well as sampling events offsite.

• Providing a great taproom experience
• Serving beverages and smiles to guests
• Educating guests about 8th Wonder and all of our beverages
• Maintaining and cleaning taproom
• Working sampling events at off-premise accounts
